nonsensical topic. since you said you were dropping by, i'll offer some donuts - gesture of hospitality.
i haven't been on MSN for some time. no urge to talk, exactly. just want to sort out my own mess. picked up a copy of Virginia Woolf's ' The Waves' yesterday. In fact I haven't read a single novel since summer but yesterday after class, i had this urge to touch them again. The 13th floor dedicated to good old novels isn't very popular for the general sicence orientated readers and when i was there, few people lingered around. It's almost impossible to navigate without the reference code ready at hand but anyway my trip was without purpose. Maybe i just missed the particular stale smell of ancient paper backs. To be embraced in calm serenity once more while outside late autumn rain trickled endlessly. It was soothing.
i bumped into virginia woolf and thought about what you said. There was a huge collection of her diaries. Now i think of it, I have no idea why I didn't borrow them. Maybe there're simply too many to choose from.
quotes of the day, from the introduction to 'the waves', written by Gilian Beer
While she was writing Mrs Dalloway Woolf copied a passage from Book VII of Wordsworth's The Prelude and added a comment:
The matter that detains us now may seem,
To many, neither dignified enough
Nor arduous, yet will not be scorned by them,
Who, looking inward, have observed the ties
That bind the perishable hours of life
Each to the other, & the curious props
By which the world of memory and thought
Exists & is sustained.
Good quotation for one of my books. - Virginia
Not like I understand it. Maybe I will one day.

title's self-explantory, as not to scare you with dazzling lenghty post that follows. i should be off to mug bio, chm, biochm. before i go, just add another bag of rubbish to our bin.
guess it's one of slapstick fav song that we would set to repeat mode. It's actually a sad love song about couples breaking up, leaving sad memories behind.
and the cat returns, i remember you said you liked her voice, so clean and sweet. it's not sung by the seiyu though.
and the lyrics,
lalala
sweet dreams!! back to my books.

Dear Stick,
It's 15min to 4pm, your clock. must be sleeping? or insomnia attack again?
heh heh, yes, last night i slept at 3pm, well, last min mugging doesn't help actually and i feel so sleepy when i was reading and no words ever entered my memory space, which isn't much left. nevertheless this course has great impact. if ever there's such thing as 'perspective-morphism', like what this course dose on me. whatever word you see breaks into small little parts (parts
'my foot' ' you head' 想到singabloodypore的太阳真是围城的最好活标本。
周围的人who look suspiciously like super-powerful aliens都在为我狂欢。

“Right now i have a wonderful idea of what I'd call 'email novel', it's not a novel strictly speaking. I'll kick it off, a paragragh, a line, some descriptive words, a string of nouns, objects, anything. say 'a bird was lying on the ground, no life, no motion. I wonder if it's a carefully sculpted figurine. But finally I noticed it's still breathing, its chest heaving a bit too fast... Maybe death's come to her... ', and i'll send the rubbish over and hu might edit or follow it up in any way she wants. it's anything and everything, so it's not a novel, more like patchwork of our minds. ok, i'll start experimenting soon... haha
What a wonderful idea indeed! How come you never mentioned that to me?! (and how come I switched to English all of a sudden?) Come to think of it we did have some fun, bizarre correspondence in the months of June and July, and somehow the flood turned into a trickle then evaporated into a wisp of nothingness after both of us returned and left our much beloved and now much missed motherland, one after the other. Sighs. What a fateful year 2004 has been. Turbulent, confusing, never ending and now ending all too fast. But back to blogging and your idea of an email novel—I think we might as well turn it into a bloggy, stream-of-consciousness, postmodern kind of fun if you are still on about the idea, thoughts? Now that exams are almost over I am going to try it out anyway, gonna exercise my flabby mind muscles and sunbathe the stagnant backwaters of the brain…Shall end here~~arthritis catching up with my right elbow; there had been all too many cold, damp nights in a row now, so much so I’ve lost count. Awaiting your witticism and wisdom~~
